Remembering Lisa

I'm still valuing a fair amount of silence at the moment, and I'm afraid eloquence fails me when it comes to the loss of L.K. Madigan. When Lisa first went public with her cancer diagnosis, I blogged at that time about my interactions with her, and what she and her writing meant to me.

But I do want to post this, because it is a practical way you can help, if you are moved by Lisa's story (or by the stories she wrote). She established a trust for her son's college fund. Donations may be sent to:

Nathan Wolfson Trust
Becker Capital Management, Inc.
Attn: Sharon Gueck/John Becker
1211 SW Fifth Ave, Suite 2185
Portland, OR 97204

I'm feeling silent now, too. Wordless.

In our individual silence, there is togetherness. I'm grateful for that.
Thank you for that. Yes.
*virtual hug*
I have a mental image of us all standing with lit candles.
...in a half-circle...
I did not "know" Lisa and was not aware of her story until I read her post in January. I was touched by her wisdom and only hope I will someday acquire a fraction of it.

My sympathies for your loss.
Thank you! Lisa touched so many lives--certainly I wasn't in her family or innermost circle, but it was a pleasure and an honor to have the connection with her that I did.

Thank You

Thank you very much for your kind words.
Sincerely, Neil Wolfson

Re: Thank You

I'm thankful you've let us know about the fund so that we can contribute in some small way to your son's future. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope it is some comfort for you to see how much love and esteem the writing community has for Lisa.
